About us
Meet Claire
Claire brings a rare combination of endurance experience, honesty, and empathy to INTO THE BLUE Confidence Camp Since beginning her triathlon journey in 2005, she has taken on some of the most demanding endurance challenges in the world, including multiple Ironman and ultra-distance events and a continuous Double Deca triathlon — the equivalent of twenty Ironman distances completed back-to-back. Her journey has never been about being fearless; it has been about learning how to move forward while fear is still present.
Today, Claire is the owner of Enduroman Arch2Arc, one of the most iconic ultra-endurance challenges in the world, supporting athletes attempting the extraordinary journey from London to Paris via run, swim, and cycle. She is also the founder of Brutal Events, a globally recognised series of extreme triathlons that attracted athletes from around the world and helped redefine what endurance racing could look like.
Claire is an author, and in her book Becoming Brutal she shares her deeply personal story — including her evolving relationship with the sea, open-water fear, and the lessons learned through endurance challenges. She has long spoken openly about experiencing panic and anxiety in the water, including in her widely read article for 220 Triathlon, helping normalise conversations around the emotional side of swimming that many athletes quietly experience.
Within INTO THE BLUE, Claire focuses on the psychological and emotional side of open water. Drawing on years of lived experience, she helps swimmers understand their nervous system responses, develop practical reset tools, and build calm confidence step by step. Known for her direct yet deeply compassionate style, she creates an environment where progress feels safe, personal, and sustainable — showing that you don’t have to be panic-free to belong in open water.
